Glasswerk In The City is a yearly festival based in Manchester during the annual In The City music conference. Jointly promoted by UK promoters Glasswerk.co.uk and Manchester based VmanEvents - the remit of the event is to entertain, search for new/breaking bands and to provide a quality platform for them to perform. Both promoters have a reputation for promoting new music as well as more established acts, and have worked together numerous times before. Artist's who played last years event include Art Brut and Hard Fi - both of whom have gone on to enjoy chart succes this year.

Glasswerk.co.uk are UK promoters covering London, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Wales and Brighton. Acts they have worked with over the last year include Dogs Die In Hot Cars, Haven, Art Brut, Ginger from The Wildhearts, The Queers, Misty's Big Adventure, Redjetson, Darren Hayman (ex Hefner), Mark Morris (The Bluetones), Vanilla Ice, Eden Maine, Aconite Thrill, 65 Days Of Static, Arctic Monkeys, The Research and hundreds more. They also publish the popular webzine www.glasswerk.co.uk which has over 70,000 regular readers per month.

VmanEvents, promoters based in  Manchester, have had an extremely successful year. Highlights since InTheCity 2004 include: Pete Doherty's legendary New Years Eve Manchester show. Promoting the first UK tour for Arctic Monkeys and taking them from playing to 10 people in Wigan , to sell out shows in the space of 3 months. 2 hugely successful tours for 65daysofstatic and seeing them ram their stage at Truck Festival. A couple of sell out shows for Maximo Park, as well as fantastic performances throughout the year by The Others, Reuben, The Stands, Kano, The Ga Ga's, Wolf Eyes.
