Bingo Jesus

Bingo-Jesus formed during the summer of 2002 in Manchester . As a five-piece setup, the band has seen a number of stylistic changes, gravitating towards a particular overall ‘sound' rather than any preconceived style or genre. This sound is largely inspired by the ‘natural' or ‘earthy' vibes generated by older equipment such as analogue synthesizers, Hammond organs, valve amps, and the use of early effects modules and instruments. Experimentation with equipment -like the use of a megaphone and overdriven amp on vocals and mouth organ, and the placement of instruments through analogue synthesizers- is a major contributor of the band's overall sound.

While Bingo-Jesus is to some extent blues-rooted, with stimulus from various underground music scenes, influences range from 1950's sci-fi soundtracks, through 1960's Psychedelia to 1970's Punk.
