Maupa
Despite the dramatic nature of the story, the style of the film is more in keeping with the tone of the song, ie; quite dream-like and beautiful. The girl walks home through a picture-esque town, lost in thought, half-way to bed already. As the forlorn lover plunges he does so gently, at peace with his decision and resigned to the nature of his love. In terms of reference, think Radiohead's ‘Street Spirit' film crossed with Paul Thomas Anderson's ‘Magnolia'. |
