The Randoms

The Randoms came together in summer 2003. Founder member Tim Matthews (Guitar/Synth)  had been mates with singer “fast” Greg Derbyshire for years. They started writin together in summer '02. The songs echo ironical suburban life and nights out which can be heard in songs like ‘Bar Music', 'No Laughing Matter' and ‘Miss Geez'. Influenced by bands acts such as ‘The Clash', ‘The Ramones', and of course ‘ The sex pistols'. Both had always had a passion for classic rock bands, and ‘Guns & Roses' and ‘ACDC' were always going to be a firm foundation as well as more recent acts such as ‘Oasis and 'The Stone Roses'.  Tim's brother Alex came in playing lead Guitar, Rob Joined on bass and drummer Sam joined in '03. .
The Randoms have been playing quality gigs up and down the country since nov 2003, and have made a big noise wherever they have played. . The songs and the live energy are the driving force, and they are in abundance, with lyrics such as “ I'll tie her up and take her hard ‘gainst the wall, it proves to her I don't care “ you can guarantee that when all other bands have finished their sets it will be a Randoms song that you will be humming in the taxi ride home!
